Lindsay Moes, age 39, passed away peacefully and to her eternal home in Heaven surrounded by her family, on Thursday, January 8, 2026. She fought a long and courageous battle with colorectal cancer.
She is survived by her children, Olivia and Jason Hawkins; parents Larry and Kathy Moes; and sisters Kara (Andrew) Parsons, Mallory (Scott) Hawkins, Allison (Steve) Yonkman, and Nicole Moes (married to Tyler Zaharis); and cherished nieces, nephews and friends.
Lindsay was born in Munster, IN and graduated from Illiana Christian High School and then graduated from Ivy Tech with a degree in Nursing. She raised her family in Ellettsville, IN and was a pediatric nurse for Indiana University Health, a job that she loved dearly.
She enjoyed camping with her family and annual fishing trips with her extended family to the Upper Peninsula.
She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, and friend that will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held on Friday, January 16, 2026, from 4:00 pm 7:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleiman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd). Highland, IN 46322.
Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at 10:00 am at New Life Christian Reformed Church, 3010 Ridge Road, Highland, IN with a short time of visitation prior to the service. Luncheon will follow the service. Burial at Oak Ridge Cemetery, Lansing, IL at 1:30 pm.
