Lisa Ann Michielsen (Nelson), age 42, of Griffith, IN passed away on Friday March 10, 2023.
She leaves behind cherished husband David, and sons Caleb and Jared. Also surviving are her parents Phillip and Cynthia Philpot, loving Brother Jack, in-laws Chuck and Cindy Michielsen and brother-in-law Daniel (Justine) Michielsen.
Lisa attended Highland HS, Highland, IN. Family was a priority for her. Loved to have holidays, get-togethers and cookouts with friends and family. Enjoyed playing many board games at home. She was active for years in Awana Children’s Ministry at Lake Hills Baptist Church, Schererville, IN.
Visitation will be Friday March 17, 2023 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd), Highland, IN, 46322.
Funeral services will be at the funeral home at 10:00 am on Saturday March 18, 2023. Interment to follow at Calumet Park Cemetery 2305 W 73rd Ave, Merrillville, IN.
