Lois Jeanne (Bowman) Jones

Lois Jeanne Jones (nee Bowman), 76, passed away Wednesday, April 26, 2023. She is survived by her husband of 55 years, Darrell F. Jones, daughter Rebecca S. Hackett (Martin), son Daniel E. Jones, grandchildren Travis, Leah, Rachel, and Sarah, sisters Phyllis (Lee) Goodman, JoAnn (Jay) Horecky, Kathy (late Greg) McAbee, Bonnie (Chris) Rodenas, brother Randy (Carol) Bowman, and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Preceded in death by parents Virginia Eileen Pollitt and Willie Robert Bowman, and brothers Bill Bowman, Donald Bowman, David Bowman, and Paul Bowman.

Lois loved children. She babysat for several different children. She taught children's church for many years at Highland Church of the Nazarene. She was also a caretaker of the church for many years. She loved feeding and watching birds. Lois loved to go camping, especially with her grandkids. 

Her grandchildren were her pride and joy. She enjoyed taking them shopping and they loved playing games and working puzzles together. They would listen to music, dance, and watch movies, anything just to be together! Lois loved her family well and her presence in their lives will be greatly missed.

Visitation will be Sunday April 30, 2023 at Highland Church of the Nazarene, 9330 Kennedy Ave. Highland, IN, 46322 from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Service will be Monday, May 1, 2023 at 10:00 am. Burial will be at Memory Lane Memorial Park, Crown Point, IN (just east of Schererville, IN, on route 30).

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Diabetes Association or Multiple Sclerosis Foundation.
