Lois Pierce Turean

Lois Pierce Turean  passed away at the age of 84 on June 30, 2021 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband Nick and her daughter Debbie. Lois was a lifelong resident of Hammond, Indiana and a graduate of Hammond High School.

She was a long time employee of Inland Steel where she met and married Nick Turean of East Chicago, Indiana and devoted herself to being a wife and mother to her children, Jeff and Debbie. She is survived by her son Jeffrey of Conroe, Texas, her brother Tom of West Virginia, her nephew Shane and his family of West Virginia, and her niece Angela Echterling of Hammond, Indiana.

Visitation will be Friday, July 8, 2021 Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd. (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, Indiana, 46322 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am. Funeral services will follow at the Chapel at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, 8718 Cline Ave. Crown Point, Indiana at 2:00 pm.
