Loran Knight

Loran Knight, 90, passed away Sunday, November 12, 2023. He is survived by two sons, Jeff (Laura) Knight of Alabama, Tim (Chrislin) Knight of Hammond, son-in-law David Rolland of Highland, brother Julian (Phyllis) Knight of Arkansas, nine grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by his wife, Hannah, and daughter Beverly Rolland.

Loran enjoyed trading antiques and collectibles with friends, and attending flea markets and garage sales. He was a U.S Army Veteran of the Korean War in the tank division. He retired after 30 years of service at LTV Steel Corporation. Even though he moved here in the 1950's he always considered Kentucky home.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 15, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with the funeral service immediately following. Brandon Knight will officiate the ceremony. Burial at Elmwood Cemetery, Hammond, IN.
