Loretta Isom

Loretta Isom, age 87, of Highland IN, passed away Tuesday June 7th 2022. She is survived by her children, Ricki (Elizabeth) Isom, Mona Isom, Brian (Connie) Isom, Tod (Susie) Isom; three grandchildren: Chris (Candy) Isom, Cory (Amber) Isom, Wesley (Abigail) Isom, Grandson-in-law Justin Earl, many great-grand-children and longtime friend Doris Guinn. Loretta is preceded in death by her parents Luster “Jack” Williams and Helen (Holmes) Williams, her husband of 58 years Lotus Isom, her sisters Nancy Nelson and Lorene Winkler and her granddaughter Sarah Earl.  

A longtime resident of Hammond, in her early years Loretta raised and cared for all sorts of animals.  She was especially fond of stray dogs. Over the years, she enjoyed documenting and preserving family memories by creating countless photo albums for her grandchildren and great grandchildren.  She had a quick-wit and sense of humor that only got better as she grew older. She was an amazing storyteller and artist who had an eye for detail and an impressive memory which served her right until the end of her life. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends. Services will be held privately.
