Lori Jane Daubenspeck- Ripley passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2026, at the age of 63, leaving behind a family and community who will forever miss her kind heart, generous spirit, and unconditional love.
Born on February 24, 1963, to Foster and Jane Daubenspeck, Lori was raised with a caring heart that she carried throughout her entire life. She graduated from Richards High School in Oak Lawn, Illinois, and went on to pursue a career as a beautician, where she enjoyed helping others feel beautiful inside and out.
Lori never met a stranger. She had a gift for making people feel welcome and loved, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need. Her warm smile, compassionate heart, and infectious laugh left a lasting impression on everyone fortunate enough to know her.
She found joy in singing karaoke, especially to her favorite country songs, and loved spending time with family and friends. More than anything, Lori’s greatest pride and joy were her children and grandchildren. She never missed an opportunity to talk about them, celebrate their accomplishments, or remind them how deeply they were loved. Her family was her entire world.
Lori is lovingly survived by her children, James (Angel), Jane (Luis), Jessica (Ed), and Steven (Jackie); her ten cherished grandchildren, Luis, Trisha, Kylie, Tony, Dominic, Payton, Giovanni, Jayce, Madilyn, and Cali; along with many extended family members, dear friends, and all whose lives she touched.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Foster and Jane Daubenspeck; her sister, Donna; and her beloved grandparents.
Though her passing was sudden and has left an immeasurable void, Lori’s love, kindness, and beautiful spirit will continue to live on through the countless memories she created and the family she loved so fiercely. She will be deeply missed every day and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
A visitation and funeral service will be held on Saturday, July 18, 2026, from 2:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, Indiana 46322 with cremation to follow.
Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
