Lorri Ann Woodard

On October 16, 2023 Lorri passed away peacefully surrounded by her family. Lorri was born in New Castle, PA, daughter of Judith Rae Ritchie Woodard and David Rector Woodard (deceased). Moved to Youngstown, OH as a young child. In 1978 she graduated from Woodrow Wilson High. Moved to Indiana with her family in 1978. Lorri worked for the School City of Hammond as a bus monitor for kids with special needs for 15 years. She loved spending time with her family, Gerald “Bugg” Kurek, Fiance’, with whom she spent 34 years of her life with. She loved spending family time with her kids and grandkids. Danielle Golumbeck (daughter) Mike, Gerald Kurek Jr (son), Ella Rae (granddaughter) and Brooks Michael (grandson). She loved game night with her grandkids, although Brooks was besting her at chess. Her kids and her grandkids were her saving grace. She loved crafting and she also loved doing her annual car show, which she really enjoyed for it gave her the opportunity to donate all the proceeds to the church to help out the youth group. She also was a member of Black Oak Eagles for over 20 years. Lorri spent so much of her life without her son Scotty Hall (deceased) she now has been reunited with Scotty in Heaven. She had a heart of gold and would be there for anyone who needed her. She was loved by all that had the pleasure of being a part of her life. She will be missed by all greatly and she will live in our hearts forever. Lorri is also survived by her sisters and brothers, Jamie Woodard Lichter (Tim Deceased), Traci Woodard Djordjevic (Milan), David Woodard (Carol), Eric Woodard (Cheryl), Donald Woodard (Jennifer), and several nieces, nephew, and grand nieces and nephews. Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.

Funeral Service will be on Monday, October 23, 2023 at 11:30 AM at the funeral home.

Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
