Lucia Ann Marie Perry, age 73, passed away peacefully on Saturday, April 25, 2026.
Born on March 8, 1953, in Chicago, Illinois, Lucia was a longtime resident of the Hessville neighborhood in Hammond, Indiana. She built her life around family, filled with warmth, laughter, and lasting memories.
Lucia is survived by her loving daughters, Heather Bonham (Jason), Nichole Bahena (Mark), Beth An Nakatsuka (Nick), and Britiany Perry (Scott). She was a devoted and proud Nana to James, Ericka, Nathanial, Riglie, Kassandra, Izabella, Jaymie, and Cora, each of whom brought her immense joy. She is also fondly remembered by many nieces and nephews who held a special place in her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Richard and Maxine Lewis; her son, Ronald Perry Jr.; and sisters, Roberta Blackard (late Carl), Deborah Dombrowski (David), and Christina Lindahl (Charles).
Lucia cherished time spent with her daughters and grandchildren above all else. Whether it was simply sitting in her living room listening to “Purple Rain” or a full house, those moments were where she felt most at home. Her love for her family was steady and deeply felt.
She will be dearly missed and forever remembered by all who knew and loved her.
Per Lucia’s wishes, her family askes you remember her in your own special way, as a private no-service cremation will take place.
