Margaret Embry Obituary
Margaret Embry, age 84, peacefully passed away on Saturday, August 1, 2026.
She is survived by her sons, David and Dennis; grandchildren, Angela, and Linda (Jon); great grandchildren Dillan, Gavin, Carter, Parker, and Ashlynn; sisters, Eva, Rita, and Sandy (Bill); and numerous dear friends and extended family.
Preceded in passing by parents, Fred and Elaine Smith; daughter, Donna; granddaughter, Jacklyn; brother, Tommy; and her significant other, Ed.
Margie was born January 31, 1942 in Gary, Indiana. She enjoyed working at Jewel, where she retired. Her life revolved around her family and friends; always the head of family gatherings and celebrations. She enjoyed travel, visiting town festivals, bunko, bowling, her breakfast buddies and spending time with her grandchildren.
Margie was a very loving, kind person to us all and will be greatly missed.
Visitation will be Friday, August 7, 2026 from 2:00pm - 6:00pm at Hillside Funeral Home, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, Indiana 46322.
