Margaret M. (Papierz) Hogan

Margaret M. Hogan (Papierz), 70, peacefully passed away on Thursday, January 23, 2025. She is survived by her loving husband Michael Hogan, Mother-in-law Mathilda C. Hogan, sisters-in-law Mary Hogan, and Lynne Hogan-Fejdasz, nephew Justin Fejdasz, cousins, and dear friends. 

Preceded in death by parents Walter and Adeline Papierz and brother Anthony Papierz. Margaret was born on January 28th, 1954 in Hammond Indiana, was a 1972 graduate from Bishop Noll Institue, and earned a bachelor's degree in accounting from Calumet College in 1976.

On September 23rd, 1978 she married the love of her life Michael Hogan, and together they shared 46 years of marriage. She was a proud member of Saint James The Less Catholic Church in Highland Indiana, a dedicated member of All Souls Catholic Church in Lansing Illinois, and a member of The Lake County Indiana Right To Life. She was currently enjoying her retirement from her years of hard work and was an avid fan of anything Notre Dame. You could always find the couple on the Notre Dame campus enjoying their time together.

Margaret was a loving daughter, wife, daughter-in-law, sister-in-law, aunt, cousin, and friend, and will truly be missed by all whose lives she touched. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 29th, 2025 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am at All Souls Catholic Church located at 3010 Ridge Road, Lansing, Illinois. Funeral Mass will begin at 11:00 am, with interment to follow Chapel Services at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery in Calumet City Illinois.
