She is survived by her daughter Michelle (Dan) Knight; brother-in-law Roland Ralick; grandchildren Nicole (Andy) Work, Monika Knight, John (Deztinee) Knight, Angelia Delk, and Elion Castro; great-grandchildren Aiden, Teagan, Lilah, Piper, Amora, Ella, Ryder, and Love; dear nieces, nephews, and friends.
Peggy was preceded in death by her parents, Carl and Irene Otto; sisters Marilyn (Raymond) Kosinski, Carol (Richard) Marciniec, Joyce (Roland) Ralick; daughter Diana Castro (and her beloved father Douglas Daville); fiancé Bruce Hoffmockel; grandson Matthew Knight; and many loving nieces, nephews, and friends.
To know Peggy, was to love her. Her free and generous spirit, larger-than-life laugh, and loving nature will be deeply missed. She was the best grandma and loved one anyone could ask for. Despite life’s heartbreaks and challenges, she remained kind, gracious, and hopeful.
A graduate of Highland High School and a United States Air Force veteran, she worked tirelessly to care for her home and family. Good food, good company, crocheting personalized blankets and scarves, and feeding her babies (the neighborhood squirrels) were her joys. “Bless the Beasts and the Children” she wrote with the love she had for her profoundly missed three Pekingese (Melissa, Molly, and Maddie) and Polish Arabian horse Zeppelin adding, “My Big Baby, I’ll see you, My Blessed Animal in our Eternal Home”.
She will be endlessly missed by all those fortunate enough to have had her in their lives.
A celebration of Peggy’s life with be held on Sunday, August 31, 2025 at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Rd) in Highland, IN from 12:00 PM – 2:00 PM.
