Maria Teresa Montemayor

Maria Teresa Montemayor, 92, of Gary, IN, passed away Sunday, October 22, 2023. She is preceded in death by her husband Silvano Montemayor, Sr., and sons Silvano Montemayor Jr., and Ezekiel Montemayor. She is survived by her children, Elizabeth Gonzalez, Sylvia Montemayor, Maria (Jesse) Garcia, Mario (Sonia) Montemayor, and Fernando (Angela) Montemayor. She also leaves to cherish her memory her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Maria (Teresa) was a lifelong parishoner of Holy Rosary church. Maria had a love of life and a heart of gold with the many people she came across. She loved going to the "ching-ching" casino, but her biggest love was being with her family.

Visitation will be Friday, October 27, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 9:00 am to 11:30 am with a Funeral Service to follow beginning at 11:30 am. Burial will be at St. John/St. Joseph Catholic Cemeteries, 1547 167th Hammond, IN.
