With sadness we mourn the loss of Mark L. Bauer on July 4, 2025 in Holiday, Florida. Mark was born in Blue Island, Illinois on October 5, 1961 to Joan Bauer and the late Richard L. Bauer Sr. He grew up in the South Suburbs of Chicago with his siblings, Sherrie (Ken) Hixson, Richard (Candy) Bauer Jr., Daryl (Eileen) Bauer, Darlene (Jim) Johnsen, Jori (the late Danny) Cain and Krista (Mike) Acke. While attending Rich Central High School he played football which he loved.
Mark is survived by his children, Bryan Bauer, Troy Bauer, Wesley (Michelle) Bauer, Alex Bauer and Juliana Monk. He was a loving grandfather to Aniya, Adriana, Alexa, Anessa, Quinn, Trevor and Maddyn. He was an awesome uncle to several nieces and nephews and had a close bond with Austin "Bubba" and Harley Cain as well as Jessica Acke, Meg (Devin) Radford and Chelle Acke who he lovingly referred to as "The Brats".
Mark loved his family and friends unconditionally. He would give the shirt off his back to anyone he thought needed it. He had dreamed most of his adult life of moving somewhere warm and close to the ocean. When he finally made the move to Florida he was beyond excited. Mark was an entrepreneur, he owned a few businesses throughout his life. Waterwerks Powerwashing was the most recent business that he owned and he thoroughly enjoyed it. In Mark's free time he enjoyed hanging out with those he loved and making them laugh.
Mark's quick wit, sarcasm, infectious laugh and unwavering love will be deeply missed.
