Mark Poland

Mark Poland, age 60, of Hobart, Indiana, passed away on Friday, April 16, 2021. He was the beloved husband of Barb Poland, father of one son, Mark (Kaitlyn) Poland, Jr and grandfather to Autumn and Devon. He is survived by four siblings; Paul, Carl, Troy and Rita Spencer of the Northwest Indiana area. He is also survived by many extended family in the Terre Haute, Indiana area.  

Mark started his career in the CNC machining area but found, over the years, he had an entrepreneurial spirit. Leaving machine operations behind, he began learning and tackling many skills. There wasn’t anything he could not do.  As he got older, his interest turned to real estate investing. He was happiest when he was busy; always working with his hands most recently in remodeling or utilizing his negotiating skills.  But more than that, he loved the Lord, Jesus Christ and loved to share his experience and what the Lord had done for him. Not only sharing his faith, but planting the seed of salvation to all who would listen.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, April 20, 2021 from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center located at 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN.  From there, transport has been arranged to Fitzpatrick Funeral Home, 220 North 3rd Street, West Terre Haute, IN for visitation on Thursday, April 22, 2021 from 10:00 am to 12:00 pm with a graveside service to follow.  Interment will be at Pleasant View Cemetery, Tecumseh, Indiana.
