Mark Ryan Obituary

Mark Ryan, age 59, passed away April 26, 2025. Mark was born on February 26, 1966 to Ronald and Barbara (nee Gaskey) Ryan as the fifth child in a growing family.

He is survived by his children, Destiny and Brandon Ryan; mother Barbara Seitz; sisters Melody (Larry) Kingery and Shannon Ryan; brother Jason Seitz; brother-in-law Demetrius Shumpert; grandsons Isaiah and Weston; aunts and many cousins; numerous nieces and nephews and his best friend, Tom Sikma.

Mark is preceded in death by ex-wife Lisa Ryan; father Ron Ryan; brother Jeff Ryan; sisters Pamela (Ryan) Shumpert and Tamara Ryan; grandparents William and Catherine Gaskey, Juanita Ryan, and his beloved cat "Precious".

Mark loved his grandsons unconditionally with all his heart and would do anything for those two sweet boys. He worked for Local 41 for an impressive 29 years, where he was a pipe fitter, machine operator and a "MUST HAVE" on any job site. He would give the shirt off his back for anyone in need. Mark was a storyteller and one of the best and would share these stories of his life with anyone willing to lend an ear. He never met a stranger. He was avid in collecting those most unique antiques and such, fixing up old cars and anything involving using his hands for tools. Some would say a 'jack of all trades' and the 'master of none'. Mark's wishes were for his life to be celebrated for who he was. He knew that his time here was limited, as it is for all of us. But, he lived every day as though it was his last. He wished for his legacy to be known and carried on. He lived his life in the footprint of that wish. He was a very giving man, always offering whatever he could for those less fortunate.

Mark was extremely witty and comical, always inspiring laughs and smiles out of his peers. He considered it one of his many gifts. He called it "the gift of gab". He was a fisherman at heart, some of his greatest memories involved a rod and a boat. He enjoyed his family, friends, and his "Twisted Tea". Mark left an impression on everyone he met and that won't ever be forgotten. He will be dearly missed by all!
