Martha Tryon Obituary

Martha Ann Tryon, age 71, of Portage, IN, passed away Thursday, Oct. 8, 2020. She is survived by her daughter, Mary Ellen Gorches; son-in-law Steve T. Gorches; grandson Johnny Gorches; brother Billy Tryon and his wife Suzanne Tryon, and several nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews and great great nieces and nephews. Preceding her in death was her parents, Harry, John and Dorothy Tryon; her brothers Gary Tryon and Tom Tryon.

Martha loved her devoted family and friends with her whole heart. Sewing was her passion, especially making outfits for friends and family. Martha also loved camping and fishing on family trips and playing bingo with her daughter and friends. She loved all the kitties she’s had over the years, which included Angel, Skeeter, Victoria, Sniffles, Booger and her current cat Merida.

Due to Martha’s wishes, there will not be a visitation with her cremation at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center.
