Melissa Renee Smith, age 35 of Gary, Indiana, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, August 17, 2022. She leaves behind four children, Elizabeth, Madison, Alex and Aden; Mother: Kathy Smith; Grandparents: Dorothy and Wayne Smith.
Uncles: Michael Smith and John Smith and her Aunt Cynthia Smith.
Melissa was preceded in death by her life partner Jose Raul Rodriguez, Jr. and infant daughter Alexis.
Family and friends are invited to celebrate Melissa’s life with a Memorial Mass on Saturday, September 24, 2022 at 2:00 PM at St. Ann’s Church, 6025 W. 25th Avenue, Gary IN with Father Theodore Mens officiating. Friends may visit with the family 1 hour prior to the services.
Melissa had a hard life in her later years that led soon to her death. She had a good heart and really loved her family. May Melissa finally be at peace.
