With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Michael Marovich. He was born on December 4, 1953 and left us on March 3, 2025.
Mike loved being creative with pizzas at his job Bridges Scoreboard. He loved hanging out with friends on his off time. He had a huge heart and looked out for anyone he could. He will be sincerely missed by family and friends.
Survived by Sister Terri Walters, nephews Leonard (Shondra) Carter Chase (Corie) Carter, Danny Walters, Eli Carter, Nolan Madden, Zaiden Carter, Earl (Tracey) Watters, Adam (Lucrecia) Walters, Collin Watters, Enzo Perez, Mike (Denise Freeman) Matusz, Michael Hipp, Eddie Sunblod, Marcus Wittig, Nieces Lori (Kevin) Polus, Kaylee Dross, Donna Long, Taylor Watters, Karelee Ellis, Granddaughter Tyler Sky. Brother's mother-in-law Joyce Balding. Psuedo brother Steve Hite. Many cousins and friends.
He was preceded in death by his father Nick Marovich, mother Mary “Doris” Fowler Marovich. Sister Vikki Watters. Brother Chuck Marovich and sister-in-law Karen Marovich.
Mike was born in Hammond, Indiana. Raised in Fullerton, CA, where he played and coached baseball with West Fullerton Little League. He graduated 1972 from Buena Park, CA where he played Varsity basketball. He attended Fullerton college. Then he returned to Indiana. He loved making pizzas.
A Memorial Gathering will be held Friday, March 14, 2025 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm with a Memorial Service at 3:00 pm.
