Mingledoff Price, a husband, father, grandfather, brother, and friend, was born on August 19, 1940, in Gadsden, Alabama, where he was also raised. From an early age, he developed a strong work ethic and a deep appreciation of life’s simple joys, including music.
He was a proud graduate of Carver High School which he carried with him the values of hard work throughout his life. He later moved to Chicago, where he became a member of Antioch Missionary Baptist Church. It was there that he met his wife. He went on to build a remarkable career at Inland Steel Mill, now the Cleveland Cliffs, where he faithfully worked for 50 years before retiring in 2013. His commitment and work ethic were a true reflection of his character.
He had a true love for jazz music, often finding joy and peace in its timeless sound. In his free time, he enjoyed cooking, reading the newspaper, and taking pride in his Corvette.
Above all, he cherished his family. He leaves behind his wife, Annette Price; two daughters LaToya (Jack) Price and Brittany (Ron) Jackson; granddaughter Jayla Price; his beloved grandpups Bella and Baxter Rowe; and sister, Shirley Price, amongst
nieces. Each of them carries a piece of his strength, wisdom, and love. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jenie Bush and Lillian Price; daughter, Thleatha Price; grandson, Mingledoff Price; and grandpup, Brownie Price, welcoming him into eternal
rest.
His presence will be greatly missed, but his legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
