Nicholas Leep, II (Nick) passed away on Thursday, March 26, 2026. He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Jeanette and two sons Nicholas, III and Joshua, as well as his grandfurries.
He is also survived by his brothers Edgar, William (Sherry), Frederick, sisters Christina (Jason), Elizabeth, Step-Mother Barbara, numerous nieces, nephews, relatives and dear friends. Preceded in death by parents E. Kenneth Leep and Dorothea “Sally” DuBois.
Nick was employed at Pleasant View Dairy for 30 years. He started out as a deliver driver helper and unbeknownst to him delivered milk to his future wife’s family. He held several positions at Pleasant View and retired from his career as a merchandiser. He was also trained as a welder and worked at Illiana Disposal as a welder before working for Pleasant View Dairy.
He was an active member of First Christian Church of Lansing, Griffith Lions Club and enjoyed volunteering for Meals on Wheels.
Nick enjoyed grilling on his three grills, whether it be a steak or a simple burger, he was always excited to share his recipe. He also was an expert ice cream maker and took pride in his many flavors. There was rarely an occasion where Nick didn’t show up with a freshly made batch of ice cream. Other hobbies included motorcycling, target shooting and discovering new music while enjoying old favorites.
Nick always had a quick smile ready for everyone, a huge hug, and a dad-joke for every occasion. Nick was a loving husband, father, son, brother and friend.
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the First Christian Church of Lansing or Meals on Wheels in Nick’s name.
