Nicholas "Nick" Stur

Nicholas "Nick" Stur, of Crown Point, passed away May 7, 2018.  He is survived by: loving wife Shawn, sister Mary (Keith) Nielsen and caring cousin Eric (Cindy) Yuhasz, loving in-laws Laura and David Smolnicky, Les and Cora Flagg, Julia and Ryan Affolder, Mike and Mindy Gajdik, Michelle and Corri Gajdik, and the rest of the Smolnicky, Flagg, and Gajdik family and friends.

A Celebration of Life Gathering will be held on Thursday, May 10, 2018 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 4:00 pm to 7:00 pm.

Nick was employed at Arcelor-Mittal Steel Mill, was a Veteran of the US Marines, a former member of the Griffith Fire Department, and a former EMT for the East Chicago Fire Department.

In lieu of flowers, donations preferred to the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
