Norma G. McGee

Norma G. McGee, age 83, formerly of Gary, IN passed away Tuesday, January 19, 2021. She is survived by her three children, Tim (Vicky), Robin (Dennis Wyman), Kevin (Caryl); six grandchildren, Chris (Michelle) McGee, Kimberly (Jordan) Myers, Andrea (Steve) Marvel, Jacob (Alyssa) McGee, Erin (Jeremy Bosnak) McGee, and Brianne (Jeff) Miller; seven great grandchildren, Riley, Bryce, Marley, Claire, Lorelai, Luke and Brynn. Preceding her in death is her beloved husband of 60 years Johnnie McGee, granddaughter Emily Lynn McGee, and brother Bill Kruse.

Norma was born on January 7, 1938 to Norman and Edna Kruse. She is a graduate of Calumet High School, Gary, IN and a former member of Ross Community Church. After raising her three children, Norma worked for many years as the bookkeeper for Sebo’s Nursing Home. Norma and her husband Johnnie retired to Decherd, TN where they enjoyed their favorite hobby of fishing. Norma had a passion for reading and watching Wheel of Fortune (she never missed an episode).

Visitation will be held at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 on Friday January 22, 2021 from 8:30 am to 10:00 am, with the funeral service immediately following at 10:00am. Interment will be at Chapel Lawn Cemetery, Crown Point, IN.
