Jerry has never known a stranger. He will always be remembered as deeply loving and caring to everyone he met. Jerry had a huge passion for fishing and was a one-of-a-kind fisherman. He loved nothing more than to be on his boat with anyone who wanted to join—especially his wife, family, and friends. Jerry and Velma were known for their amazing fish fries! Jerry even owned his own fishing charter business hunting walleye, perch, and bluegill.

Jerry was a devout Christian and a man of deep faith in Jesus Christ. He was deeply devoted to his family and cherished his wife, children, and grandchildren. Jerry never lost his passionate dedication and affection towards his beloved wife Velma; she was the true love of his life, and he always put her first during their 63 years of marriage Jerry was big-hearted, sincere, and an excellent story teller. He loved to read and was an author of short stories. He often quoted and lived by the saying, “Who dares, Wins”.
