Patricia Peña

Patricia (Pat) A. Peña (Peters) of Griffith, IN age of 72 passed away on Wednesday, June 9, 2021.  She is survived by her loving husband of 50 year Richard Peña, Daughter: Tina (Tom) Wagner, Son: Richard ( Anecia Ventura) Peña , Three grandchildren : Justin, Jordan and Jianni . Sibling: John (Benny) Peters of Merrillville, Donald Peters of Griffith, George Peters of Schererville, Walter (Debbie) Peters of Griffith, Doreen (Joe) Jakubowicz of Crown Point, Preceded in death by Brother Butch (Linda) Peters of Schererville, sister Rosie (John) Peters of Crown Point, brother David Peters of East Chicago, and by her parents Emil and Anne Peters of East Chicago. She had many nieces’ nephews and godchildren. Pat was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Family was the most important thing to her, she loved spending time with family and friends and often hosted large family parties. She especially loved having large family Christmas parties. She loved gardening and taking care of her grandchildren. She enjoyed going to the Casinos and traveling with her husband. She was a faithful member of Saint Mary Catholic Church. She will be greatly missed by all the people than knew and loved her.

Visitation will be at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman. Rd in Highland, IN, 46322 on Sunday, June 13, 2021, from 2:00 PM to 5:30 PM, with a Funeral Service beginning at 5:30 PM.  

In lieu of flowers donations to Hospice of the Calumet Area would be preferred.
