Patricia Jean Urbanczyk

Patricia Jean Urbanczyk, a loving and caring woman known for her infectious laughter and devotion to her family, passed away peacefully on May 7, 2025, at the age of 85. Born on May 6, 1940, Patricia lived a life full of love, joy, and dedication.

She was married to fellow Hammond Tech graduate, and high school sweetheart, Anthony John Urbanczyk, who preceded her in death on May 4, 2007. Together, they built a beautiful family and shared many wonderful years.

Patricia is survived by her sons, Kevin and his wife Jill, along with their sons Alex and Jake; and Jeff and his wife Susan and their daughter, Nell. She also leaves behind her siblings, Joan Bukowski and her husband Walter, and Robert Marovich. Patricia's legacy continues through her many loving nieces, nephews, grand nieces, and grand nephews.

Patricia had a long and fulfilling career as a supervisor at Security Federal Savings and Loan, where she was respected and admired by her colleagues. Later in life, she enjoyed a brief stint as a food sampler at Costco, bringing smiles to many faces with her warm and friendly demeanor.

Known for her incredible cooking skills, Patricia's meals were a source of comfort and joy for her family and friends. Her love for laughter and her family were the cornerstones of her life, and she will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Monday, May 12, 2025 from 4-8pm at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd, (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN. 

**UPDATE** A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at 10:30AM at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Avenue Highland, IN with Rev. Gregory Bim-Merle officiating.

Inurnment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the William J. Riley Memorial Residence, 600 Superior Ave, Munster, IN 46321.
