Raymond Van Der Wall Obituary
Raymond J. Van Der Wall, age 82, peacefully passed away on Friday, February 13, 2026.
Ray was born September 29, 1943 in Hammond, IN. He graduated from Illiana Christian High School in 1961 and went on to serve in the U.S. Army. On July 14, 1967 he married Jennie Veenstra, and together they raised a family in Schererville, IN. He was a proud member of Faith Church. Ray retired from Sterling Express.
He is survived by his sister Karen Dutton; his children Brian Van Der Wall, Mike Van Der Wall, and Raeann (Todd) Botts; granddaughters Alyssa and Kylie Botts.
He is preceded in death by parents, Peter and Gertrude Van Der Wall, and brother Larry Van Der Wall, and his wife Jennie Van Der Wall.
Ray was a loving son, brother, father, and grandfather and will be truly missed.
Memorial service will be held on Tuesday, February 17, 2026 from 10:00 am to 12:000 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322.
