Raymond (Ray) Dziezak Sr.

Raymond (Ray) Dziezak, Sr., age 79 of Hammond, IN. passed away Wednesday, September 9, 2020. He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Linda Dziezak, and his 7 children. Daughters: Ramona Johnson (Brice), Jeannie Peters (Jim), Jennifer Rondeau (Lonnie), Lisa Morales (Hector), Brandy Caldwell (Tom); sons: Ray Dziezak Jr. (Leslie) and Marty Moreno (Lois); 20 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, and with 3 more on the way. Preceding him in death were his son Robert Havlin, his sister Dorothy Dyke, and his parents Annette and Walter. 
Ray was a retired maintenance man for the St. Anthony Nursing Home in Crown Point, IN. Upon his retirement, Ray spent a lot of his free time fishing or taking his boat out onto Wolf Lake. He once had to be rescued because he went out alone and forgot his ores, which he would never admit, ask Linda!  As his many health complications arose, he was able to make a guys fishing trip to Lake George with his son Ray Jr. and grandson Derrick for one last cast. His boys handed him the steering wheel to that boat and instantly Ray was a 40 year old man again! Ray was not very affectionate, but he loved his children, grandchildren, and especially his great-grandchildren; and he never hesitated to show the love he had for the love his life, his Linda.

Due to Covid-19 restrictions, there will be no visitation. A celebration of Ray’s life will be celebrated at a later date, when his family and friends are safe to do so.
