Robert Allen Crist

Robert Allen Crist age 67, peacefully passed away on Thursday, February 5, 2026 at home, surrounded by family.

He is survived by his loving wife, Heidi Crist; children, Phillip Crist, Mark (Courtney) Crist, Morgan Crist, and Jennifer Broderick; grandchildren, Chase Sexton, Arya Crist, Asha Crist, Madisyn Crist, and Nick Hudnall; siblings, John (Lynn) Crist, LeeAnn (Lou) Crist-Marcuccio, Barbara Crist, Julie (Ray) Crist-Lauman and Patrick (Donna) Crist; numerous nieces, nephews, dear friends, and his fur baby, Affie.

Preceded in death by his parents, Patricia and Jack Crist; his brother Terry Crist; and his best friend, Stevie Spurlock.

Bob was born February 22, 1958 in Hammond, IN and was a 1977 graduate of Munster High School. From having his own landscaping business, to working in HVAC for many years, he was truly a Jack of all trades.

On April 2, 1994, he married the love of his life Heidi Little, and they shared almost 32 years together. They enjoyed going out to eat at new restaurants, visiting green houses to add to their large plant collection and to pick out flowers for the different seasons. Bob had immense pride when it came to his home renovations and designing their landscaping. They also enjoyed checking out all the area fairs and festivals. The fair life was a part of his DNA .

One of his biggest passions was working at the Lake County Fair, from having his own curly fry stand, to being a member on the board, and everything in between. It didn't matter what he was doing there, as long as he was a part of it. Cooking was another passion of Bob's. He went to culinary school at Ivy Tech. He often donated his time and cooking skills to Meals On Wheels and the Share Foundation.

Bob was a loving son, brother, husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend, and will be truly missed by all whose lives he touched.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, February 20, 2026 from 5:00 - 7:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
