Robert Martin Obituary
Robert Martin, age 84, of Portage, IN, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, March 5, 2025 with family by his side.
He is survived by his children, Edward (Louise) Martin grand- children, Tiffani Martin and Savanah Martin
Preceded in death by his parents, Harold "Bud" Martin & Elsie Martin Olson; his son, Michael Martin, and his sister, Lois Wilson.
Bob was born November 29, 1940 in Gary, IN, and was a 1958 graduate of Lew Wallace High School. Afterwards, he went on to proudly serve our country in the United States Marine Corps from 1958 - 1961. He retired from the sales department of multiple furniture stores.
He enjoyed playing numerous board games, especially any card game. In his retirement years, his pastimes included playing golf, and attending the casino with friends and family.
Bob was one of a kind and will be missed by family, friends, and neighbors.
He requested to be cremated and buried at Calvary Cemetery next to his son, Michael.
Per Bob's wishes, there will be no visitation or funeral services.
Interment will be at a later date.
