Robert James Parks Sr, Beloved son, brother ,father ,grandfather, uncle and friend to many, passed away and left behind many friends and relatives who will greatly miss him. He was a simple man who didn't need or ask for much. Always quick to lend a hand to everyone even if you were a stranger. He would go out of his way to help others so much so that he would sacrifice things he himself needed. His newfound love of life had brought him and his family so much joy recently and that closer connection meant everything to him. He was able to share one last day with his son and grandchildren fishing ,something that was very important for him to accomplish, before moving on to the next step of his journey. Bob served in the Navy just like his father before him, and his own son Bobby continued the family tradition of service, serving as a US Army Military Policeman. He passed away in his own home just as he always said he wanted to. Bob was born to Bernard and Joan Parks on October 25 1949, In Chicago Illinois. He had 11 brothers and sisters. Joseph Parks,Patricia Parks, Bernard Parks II, Edward Parks Sr, David Parks Sr, Mary Gibson, Joanie Harris And Joyce Parks, who all preceded him in death, and his 2 surviving brothers John Parks and Jerome Parks. His son Robert James Parks Jr, daughter in law Feiying Parks and his grandchildren Timothy Crisler,Taylor Gabbert, Nicholas Novellino, Biao Li, Sixian Wang as well as many others who proudly called him "dad "even though he wasn't their father. He will be greatly missed but always loved and remembered.
