Robert Toth

Robert C. Toth Junior, or “Bob”, age 64, of Highland, IN,  passed away peacefully surrounded by family and friends on Thursday, August 31st, 2023. Beloved husband of Janet (Mattes) Toth of 25 years. Loving father to Lauren (Cody Hansen) Toth and Kristen (Joey Cinko) Toth. Cherished brother to Sally (Donald) Johnson, Wendy (Richard M. Kula) Toth, and late Jeffery (late Tammara) Toth. Dearest son of late Carol and late Robert Toth Senior. Bob has many loving aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, great nieces, great nephews, in-laws, and friends.

Bob graduated from Roosevelt High School in East Chicago, IN, class of 1976. He retired from Arcelor Mittal (Cleveland Cliffs) in 2008. He was a proud member of the U.S.W. Local 1010. 

Bob had a big heart for all his many dogs and cats throughout his lifetime.

Bob enjoyed camping/traveling with his wife, kids and animals, snowmobiling in Wisconsin, bowling, boating, fishing, hunting, motorcycling, watching the races at the Indy 500, listening to music, and spending time with his family. He was a big fan of the Chicago Bears, Chicago Cubs, and Chicago Black Hawks.

In his journey through life, he fought many battles and left a positive impression on all of those around him.

Visitation will be at 9:00 AM to 11:30 AM on Tuesday, September 5th, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322 (located one block south of Ridge Road). Following will be a Celebration of Life Service at 11:30 AM.

In lieu of flowers, donations to Hospice of the Calumet Area or Humane Indiana would be appreciated.
