Roderick Ellis Obituary
Roderick (Rod) Ellis, 55, of Lake station, IN passed away peacefully on June 5, 2026. He is survived by his longtime companion, Michelle Doup; daughter, Sabrina Ellis; siblings, Kenneth West, Karen West, and Pam (Harry) Hodge, Darryal West; many nieces, nephews, cousins, and his grand daughters, who were the loves of his life.
Preceded in death by father, Tommie Ellis; mother, Augustine West-Ellis; and brother, Michael Ellis.
Roderick was a truck driver, retired from Fed Ex Freight. He was also a driver instructor for Fed Ex Freight and had a career with over two million miles accident free.
Rod's favorite things to do were spending time with his girls, enjoying his corvette and his RC cars.
Rod will be incredibly missed by everyone.
A celebration of life will be at a later date.
