Sandra Kathleen Haldi

Sandra Kathleen Haldi, nee Bergstrom, age 70, passed away surrounded by her family on Wednesday, March 5, 2025. She is survived by her greatest love and soulmate, David, daughter, Torie (Stephen) Figura, sons, David (Kristen) Haldi, and Scott Haldi, sister, Beverly (Michael) McGrath, brother, Robert (Denise) Bergstrom, numerous grandchildren, nieces, and nephews, and her dog, Gusto.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Kelsey Haldi Kirk, her parents Robert and Catherine Bergstrom, sister, Deborah Banasiak, and many beloved dogs.

Sandra was born on April 8, 1954 and graduated from Thornridge High School in 1972. She married the love of her life on October 5, 1974 and had four wonderful children.  Sandra and Dave recently celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary. After raising her children, Sandra went back to school and received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree from Indiana University. She spent many years caring for patients in a hospital setting and closed out her career as a hospice nurse.

Sandra was a loving wife, mother, sister, daughter, and friend. She loved and was loved by many and will be greatly missed. 

A memorial gathering will be held on Friday, March 7, 2025 from 2:30 pm to 6:30 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, Indiana, 46322.
