Stanley (JR) Grzych

Stanley Grzych of Hammond, IN, 91 years old, departed this life on September 11, 2023.

JR is survived by his loving wife Donna (Dal) of 71 years, loving and devoted children Joseph (Kathy) Grzych; Jacque (Lane) Paradis, Jeanine (Dale) De Boer, Joanne Bogert, Joyce (Kevin) Zaner, Jennifer (late Jerry) Yorek, John (Nancy) Grzych, his cherished nineteen grandchildren, beloved twenty seven great-grandchildren, and two dear great-great-grandchildren. Fond sisters, Diane (late Jack) Girman, and Margie Richwalski. Preceded in death by his father Stanley Grzych, his parents John and Stella (Mastey) Richwalski, and his infant son Jimmy.

Stanley (GG) retired from LTV line shop, where he was respected by many coworkers for 42 1/2 years. He had great joy working in his yard and planting flowers. JR was an avid reader, and you could find him with a pen in hand working all kinds of puzzles.

Visitation will be Monday, September 18, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Funeral Mass will be Tuesday, September 19, 2023 at Our Lady of Perpetual Help, 7132 Arizona Ave. Hammond, IN, 46323 at 10:00 am with a visitation at the church beginning at 9:00 am.
