Steven Ray Phillips

Steven Ray Phillips age 66, passed away on Wednesday April 17, 2024.

He is survived by his daughters, Carla (Michael) Hamlin and Heather Phillips; grandchildren, Jax and Kendall Hamlin; brother, DelRay Phillips; step-mother, Sonya Bednarczyk; best friend and Godfather to Carla, Dave Wall and many other family members and dear friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Delbert and Virginia Phillips and brother, Terry Phillips.

Steve was born May 16, 1957 in Springfield, OH. He moved to Illinois in 1976 where he worked at Welded Tube for over 25 years. After which became a truck driver. Steve enjoyed playing, and watching golf, the Chicago Cubs, and coaching his daughters' softball teams when they were younger. He loved his children and grandchildren with all his heart. Steve was diagnosed with Dementia in July of 2021 and courageously fought his battle. 

A Memorial Gathering will be held on Tuesday, April 23, 2024 from 4:00 pm to 6:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.
