Sydney Nicole Geisen, age 29, of Highland, IN passed away Sunday, July 31, 2022. She is survived by her daughter, Maycie Geisen-Lukesh; mother, Susan Geisen; sister, Trinity "sissy" LaTondress; her one true love, Mitchell "my Mitchy" Cavanaugh; aunts and uncles Tricia and Frank Sintich and Cindy Geisen and Ryan Lamothe, father John Petzold, and numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, as well as a family of loving friends who will feel her loss terribly. Preceding her in death was her cherished grandmother, Janette Geisen, with whom she shared a special bond.
Sydney was passionate about animals, writing, urban exploration photography, food, peace, love and spirituality. She was well-versed in political and scientific topics, metaphysics, psychology, and sociology. Her thirst for learning is evidenced by her pursuit of continuing education at Purdue Northwest. Sydney often laughed at the smallest, silliest things, her laughter filling the room, spreading infectiously to those in her presence.
A celebration of Sydney's life will be held at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road, Highland, IN 46322 on Tuesday August 9, 2022 from 1pm-4pm, with a memorial service immediately following in the sanctuary. Sydney's aunt, Reverend Cindy Geisen officiating. Memorial donations may be given to the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI) @ donate.nami.org or to Humane Indiana @ humaneindiana.org/donate
