Tamera Thompson Obituary

In Loving Memory of Tamera “Tammy” Thompson

Tamera “Tammy” Thompson, passed away surrounded by the love of her family. She grew up in Highland, Indiana, before making North Webster, Indiana, her home—a place she cherished, especially her time at Webster Lake.

Tammy found her greatest joy in the people she loved. She treasured every moment spent with her family, her grandkids, and grand-puppies. She loved the outdoors, camping, hiking, or relaxing by the lake, sunset boat rides with her brother Terry & best friends, Cindy and Thomas. Her warmth, and kindness made everyone feel like family, earning many the treasured title of being one of her “adopted-in-heart” children & grandchildren.

Tammy was preceded in death by her parents, Bill and Patricia Thompson, and her grandsons, James Hajduk and Logan Adams.

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her 3 daughters, Charity (Jim) Hajduk, Ailisha (Quincy) Scartozzi, and Cassie (Kyle) Banks; her siblings, Terry Thompson, Denise (Robbie) DeZern, and Debbie (Ed) Stenger; her cherished grandchildren, Paige (Marcus), Tanner (Gabby), Kelly, Yanai, Wyatt, Ethan, Piper, Leo, Marco, and Jersey; her treasured great-grandchildren, Kai, Amelia, Zara, Aurora, Ka’Marion, Ayla, Daniel, Atticus, and Oliver; along with many other extended family members, her life-long friend Cindy along with countless others whose lives she touched.

Tammy’s life is a reminder that time with the people we love is life’s greatest gift. If she left us with one lesson, it would be this: never wait to tell someone you love them. Make the phone call. Send the text. Stop by for the visit. Interrupt life’s busy moments to let people know they matter. The love we give, the kindness we show, and the memories we create become the lasting impression we leave behind.

Though her presence will be deeply missed, Tammy’s love, laughter, and legacy will continue to live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved her.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 3, 2026 beginning at 4:00pm followed by a funeral service at 7:00pm with Pastor Bill Cumbee officiating at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN.

Tamera will be laid to rest privately by the family at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN.
