Teresa Ann Stewart

Teresa Ann Stewart age 41, passed away on May 29, 2023 while surrounded by her loving family.  She is survived by mother, Caroline Stewart; brothers, Joseph, Matthew (Tiffany) and Nathan; nieces, Mandy, Caroline, Emily; nephews, Wesley, Cameron, Jonathan and great-nephew, Jack and loving friend, Wendy Stewart.  She was preceded in death by sister, Sherry Stewart and father, James Stewart. 

Teresa was a graduate of Saint John Bosco, Hammond High School (Class of 2000) and Purdue University Calumet (Class of 2004) where she received a Bachelor of Arts. She was a former employee of Progress Rail Services.  

After being diagnosed with ALS in 2012, Teresa fought a brave and gallant fight. She she was a true warrior.

Teresa had an affection for the Bears, Cubs, and the Dave Matthews Band. She had an appreciation for the arts, a love for books, music and movies. 

We will miss her loving manner, quick wit, and her smiling face. 

Visitation will be Saturday, June 3, 2023 from 2:00-6:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Road

Highland, IN.

Funeral Service will be held at 4:00 PM with Father Stanley Dominik officiating.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the family will be given to the Les Turner / ALS Foundation who have assisted Teresa over the years.
