Theresa L. Lanie

Theresa L. Lanie, resident of Fowler, IN, passed away December 3, 2021 at the age of 44. She was born on November 30, 1977 in Gary, IN, to Linda James and Robert Austin. 

Theresa graduated from Hobart High School with a letter in choir. She was very talented at creating beautiful crafts for family and friends, She was very giving to all she knew. 

Theresa was an active member of Earl Park Legion's darts. Her team, The Lanies, won second place at the State Dart Tournament this year.

Theresa is survived by husband Jerald Lanie of 16 years, sons Kyle and Kolby, daughters Jessica and Ashlena (Devin), grandsons Finley and Sawyer, brothers-in-law Robert (Vina) and Larry (Sheila), parents Linda & Wayne James, father Robert Austin, sisters Olivia (Scott) and Andrea (Michael) as well as many nieces and nephews. Theresa was preceded in death by beloved son Jerald Donald (JD), and brothers Phill and Jimmy.

Visitation will be Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Funeral Service at 10:00 am.
