Thomas "Tom" Lee Allen
March 7, 1960 - September 2, 2021
Beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend passed away peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones on Thursday, September 2, 2021. Tom was preceded in death by his youngest son Todd Allen, his parents John and Lillian Allen, and his niece Kimberly Sue Mullins. Tom was survived by his sister Diane (Medwick) Matlock, Richard (Sherry) Allen, David (Cindy) Allen, Robert (Leasa) Allen, his two children Troy Allen and Tricia (Wesley) Allen, as well as their mother Tina Flood.
Tom was a lifelong resident of Lake and Porter Counties in Indiana. He was cherished by his children and family. He spent as much time as he possibly could with his 9 grandchildren Karyssa, Ethan, Aubrey, Mckenzie, Paige, Isaiah, Addisyn, Carsyn, and Avery. He never met a stranger, and was a friend to many. He had a heart large enough to be able to love them all with everything he had. Tom was an organ donor, and with the help of The Gift of Life and the amazing staff at Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids, Michigan the legacy of his life will continue to live on through the lives of two friends that he never had the opportunity to meet.
Visitation will be held Friday, September 10, 2021 from 9:00 am to 11:00 am with a Celebration of Life immediately following from 11:00 am to 12:00 pm at Hillside Funeral Home and Cremation Center at 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd), Highland, IN 46322 with Pastor Dwayne Jones officiating.
