Valerie Frances Kleinedler

Valerie Frances Kleinedler (nee Synborski) joined her loved ones in heaven on Friday, December 19, 2025, at the age of 84. 

She is survived by her beloved husband of 60 years, Joseph Kleinedler; her cherished children, Vicky Krull (Tim), Sally Berumen, and Suzanne Kleinedler; her grandchildren, Tim, Kate, Jessica, Madison, Haley, and Joseph were the light of her life. 

Preceded in death by her parents, Frank and Frances Synborski, her sister, Maryann Zych, and her brothers, Richard and Donald Synborski.    

For many years Valerie loved throwing an annual Valentine’s day party and entertaining her family and friends. She also enjoyed hosting and playing bunco with her “Bunco Girls.”

Valerie was an auxiliary committee member of the Pink Ribbon Society, which provides aid, resources, and community for individuals and families in Northwest Indiana that are affected by breast cancer. 

For as long as she was able to, Valerie volunteered at St. Michael the Archangel Church as part of the Parish Life ministry, by providing baked goods for funeral luncheons at the parish Hall. 

Valerie lived a life rooted in faith, loving her family as a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and aunt. She blessed many as a dear friend, always willing to comfort, console, or just provide a listening ear. She now rests in God’s eternal care and will be deeply missed by all, until we meet again. 

Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 28, 2025 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home, 8941 Kleinman Road (one block south of Ridge Road) Highland, IN.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, December 29, 2025 at 12:00 PM at St. Michael the Archangel Church, 1 W. Wilhelm Street, Schererville, IN. 

Interment to follow at St. Michael the Archangel Cemetery, 1 W. Wilhelm Street, Schererville, IN.
