Vickie aka G.G. loved her family, the cubbies, da bears, her animals, and making meals with her family. She found humor in all aspects of her life. Vickie enjoyed watching her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren grow. Being outside on the back deck with all of them during the summertime was her favorite place to be. Vickie loved sharing her love of games (Yahtzee!) and music with all her loved ones.
Special note from her grandchildren.
To our grandma.
Grandma! For the longest time, that’s how you were known to all of us grandkids. We knew the funny, fiery, and strong-willed woman that always came to hang out with us kids. As we got older and had kids of our own you became Gg. You showed our kids the same woman that told us silly stories, snuck us sweets and treats when our parents weren’t watching, taught us how to cause trouble and drive our parents crazy. You taught us strength and humor. We’ll take those memories of all your “younger” days that you told us with us and share those stories with the great grand kids. We’ll laugh around the table when we play Yahtzee and listen to all the music you love trying to guess who the artist and song is. We will laugh at the memories of you giggling so hard when our stories got to be over the top or as you would say to us, “you are being bad”. We will wrap ourselves with your blankets when we need comfort. And we will absolutely cheer for the cubbies and yell at them when they aren’t doing what they are supposed to be doing. Your legacy will live on through your great grand kids, who know how much you loved every single one of them with all your heart. Rest easy grandma, we hope you finally have your big farm with all your pups and animals that you loved while here with us. Love your grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Private family viewing will be held with a celebration of life to follow at a later date. In lieu of flowers please make a donation in her name to, The Humane Indiana shelter and adoption center in Munster, IN.
