William Robert Bartlett, 42, of Crown Point, Indiana, passed away on Sunday, April 19th, 2026.
Bill was a beloved father, husband, son, brother, uncle, and friend whose humor, loyalty, and steady presence shaped the lives of everyone who knew him.
He is survived by his wife, Nicole, and his son, Aleczander, who was the center of his world. He is also survived by his mother, Colleen; his sisters, Cathleen and Gretchen; and his nieces, Kenna, Alexis, Alivia, and Avienne. Bill leaves behind many cousins, extended family members, and friends who will carry his memory forward.
He was preceded in death by his father, Bruce; his favorite uncle, Bill; his grandparents, Robert and Helen; and many aunts and uncles who were deeply loved.
Bill lived his life with humor, grit, and heart. He loved fishing, bowling, and spending time with his son, Zander — those were his happiest hours. He had a quick wit and a natural ability to make people laugh, even on the hardest days.
Professionally, Bill worked as an NDT Technician Welding Inspector for Team, Inc. at U.S. Gary Works Tractor Shop. He was respected for his skill and dedication.
He enjoyed music deeply, especially the kind that said something real. In the words of Black Sabbath’s “Solitude”:
“My life is fading, but I see you standing there.”
A reminder that love doesn’t end, and presence can outlast a lifetime.
Bill will be remembered for his kindness, his humor, and the way he showed up for the people he loved. His absence leaves a space that cannot be filled, but his memory will remain steady in the hearts of those who knew him.
