William 'Bill' Beck, Sr, age 86, peacefully passed away on Wednesday, February 4, 2026.
He is survived by his loving wife, Hilda Beck; children, Christine, Kevin, Keith, Kimberly and Jennifer (Keith) Loudermilk; daughter-in-law, Kimberley Beck; grandchildren, Richie Grutsch, James Grutsch, Michael Beck (Chrissy Obermeyer), Matthew Beck (Grace Suh), Michelle Beck, Bridget (Denny) Colomes, Kelsey Rhinefield, Tyler Beck, Madison (Jacob) Moore, McKenna Beck (Vincent Wells), Mason Beck, Cheyenne Piech and Addison Piech; great-grandchildren, Aiden, Rhett and Wesley; brothers, James, Charles 'Chuck' and Terrence 'Terry'.
Proceeded in death by parents, Wallace and Jeanette Beck and son, William Beck, Jr.
Bill was born on January 9, 1940 in Chicago, Illinois and graduated from Hammond Technical-Vocational High School in 1960. In 1961 he met the love of his life, Hilda Phillips and they married September 15, 1962. He entered the Air Force in 1963, and was stationed in Texas. In 1965, Bill and Hilda settled back in Highland, IN after the birth of their first child. They shared over 63 years together there, raising 6 children. Bill retired from Ford Motor Company after almost 50 years of service.
He enjoyed time with his family and extended family through the years. In between family time, Bill liked to tinker around fixing things in his garage. He enjoyed watching his Chicago Cubs and was over joyed to celebrate their 2016 World Series win.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 11, 2026 from 3:00-7:00 PM at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 8941 Kleinman Rd, Highland, IN.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, February 12, 2026 at 12 PM at the funeral home.
Interment to follow at Chapel Lawn Memorial Gardens, Crown Point, IN
