William De Vries

William De Vries age 72,  peacefully passed away Saturday May 24th, 2025. 

He is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Terri De Vries. Children Christopher (Casey) De Vries, Jeremy (Julie) De Vries. Grandchildren, Chase Boone, Kaitlynn and Andrew De Vries Jace and Grace De Vries, and his sister Terri (Chuck) Cummins.  And numerous nieces and nephews.

Preceded in death by his Father John De Vries and mother Marjorie De Vries, his brother Brad De Vries.

Bill was born April 22nd, 1953 in Fortworth, TX. He attended Highland High School and served our country in the U.S. Army. In January of 1972 he married the love of his life and spent 53 wonderful years together. They settled in Highland, IN and raised their sons.

Bill was a proud member of Boilermakers local 374 and retired in 2008.

Bill enjoyed spending time sailing and taking care of his boat traveling and after 53 years his favorite past time was sitting and chatting with his wife. 
Bill is truly missed already

Bills request were simple he didn’t want a service or visitation.  He will be cremated. 

Family and friends will set up a celebration of life at a later date to get together and share all the great memories of this amazing man.
