After celebrating his 86 th birthday on September 9 th, our beloved father, grandfather, brother, uncle, and friend was welcomed into heaven on the 10 th of September, 2021.
 
He is survived by three daughters: Terrie (Bill) Farrenkopf, Mary (Jeff) Healy Green, and Shelle (Greg) Hoffman, nine grandchildren, seven great grandchildren, and brother Jack (Linda) Basham.He is also survived by his sweetheart Karen McCullough, her sons Robin (Janette) Edgman, Tim Jones, and daughters Shannon (Kevin) Hogue, Dani Ray (Matt) Rogers, thirteen grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren.He was preceded in death by his wife Eileen (Bolek) Basham, daughter Mickey Langel, parents Verna and Tom Basham, brothers Robert Basham, Richard Basham, Donald Basham and sister Barbara (Basham) Herndon.
 
Bill is a long-time resident of Highland and parishioner of St. James the Less Catholic Church.  He was a retired Teamster from Local 142 and a proud veteran of the US Marine Corp. He enjoyed restoring old cars and trucks, riding motorcycles, watching westerns, Nascar and dinners with his family.Bill loved the Lord, lived his life to the fullest and will be truly missed by all who knew him.
 
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. James the Less Catholic Church, 9640 Kennedy Avenue, Highland, IN on Saturday, September 18, 2021 at 10:30 am.  Friends can gather at the church beginning at 10:00 am.  Burial will follow at Assumption Cemetery, 19500 S Cottage Grove Ave, Glenwood, IL 60425
