William "Mike" Shelton

William "Mike" Shelton, 70, passed away Thursday, August 31, 2023. He is survived by his loving wife, Mary Shelton; children Jennifer (Jon) Moehl; Danielle (Matt) Phillips, Michael Shelton; four legged children Lucy and Ethel; grandchildren Dahlia, Austin, Wyatt, and Evelyn; brothers Gary (Beth) Shelton, and Timothy (Denise) Shelton; brothers-in-law Steven (Olga) Kozel, William Kozel, and David (Donna) Kozel; sister-in-law Ann (Larry) Stassin; and numerous nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents, Jack and Lottie Shelton; nephew, Nicholas Shelton; and sister-in-law, Carolyn Kozel.

Mike enjoyed playing with his grandchildren, assembling Legos and puzzles, taking the furchildren for a walk with his scooter, crossword puzzles, and cowboy movies. He also enjoyed watching wild life, as well as going to garage sales and estate sales with Mary.

Visitation will be on Thursday, September 7, 2023 at Hillside Funeral Home & Cremation Center at 8941 Kleinman Rd (one block south of Ridge Rd) Highland, IN, 46322 from 4:00 to 7:00 pm with a funeral service at 10:30 am on Friday, September 8, 2023, with burial immediately after at Chapel Lawn Funeral Home and Memorial Garden, Crown Point, IN.
